Here is one of the images we got on Friday at our NT screen ultrasound. Its not great, the head is to the right looking down. You can't distinguish arms or legs but there he or she is. They measured 11 weeks and 6 days here giving a Jan 2nd due date. They won't move it from Jan 4th being so close. The office called today to give the results of the NT screen. In case you don't know, the NT screen measures the nuchal fold on a 12-14 week embryo plus a blood test from mom to give "chances" of having a baby with certain disorders. My results were: 1:6,500 that this baby would have Downs Syndrome and 1:10,000 that it would have Trisomy 18. Without this screen just by age I had a 1:300 chance of having a baby with these disorders. Now after the tests we have better numbers than a healthy 20 year old. We decided to do the tests because insurance paid for it and we got 2 ultrasounds at 8 and 12 weeks. Plus ill still have my 20 week with the fetal echo to check for heart defects.
My OB office has ultrasound tech's who are working on certification to perform these screens. On Thursday Ive volunteered to let them practice on me. Heck another free ultrasound, Im in.
Unless I upload photos from my phone, downloading photos from cameras is becoming nearly impossible. Hopefully I can get some photos of the big boys on here soon.
